These Terms regulate the sale and supply of goods by Great Albion Furniture ("Great Albion", "we", "us", "our") and contain essential details regarding product specifications, payment conditions, delivery arrangements, and returns. All purchases made via greatalbion.co.uk are subject to acceptance under these Terms. Placing an order constitutes an offer to buy goods from us. A binding agreement is formed only when we send you an email confirming acceptance of your order. This website is designed primarily for business-to-business use. By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm that you are authorised to act on behalf of the business placing the order. Any suggestions, ideas, or content submitted through this website will become the property of Great Albion.
Product Information
"Goods" means the items purchased through our website. While we aim to ensure all product descriptions and specifications are accurate, slight variations may occur. Great Albion Furniture reserves the right to modify specifications where necessary to meet legal or manufacturing requirements, provided such changes do not materially impact quality or functionality.
Placing Orders
You are responsible for ensuring that all order details, including delivery instructions, are correct and complete. After placing an order, you will receive an acknowledgement email. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion.
Delivery Address and Acceptance
Please ensure your delivery address and contact information are accurate at checkout. If incorrect details result in failed delivery, additional charges may be incurred for re-delivery or redirection. Deliveries are made Monday to Friday between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM, excluding bank holidays. Upon receipt, you must check that goods are in acceptable condition before signing the delivery note, as claims for damage cannot be accepted afterward. For international shipments, Great Albion Furniture is responsible only for the value of the goods, not for shipping costs, duties, or related expenses.
Warranty and Product Care
Goods will match their description at delivery. Manufacturer warranties may apply where relevant. Warranty claims will be void if items are misused, improperly handled, altered, or used for hire without written approval. Warranties do not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, or misuse. Furniture used for rental purposes is excluded from standard warranty coverage.
Any defects must be reported within three working days, and discrepancies in orders must be reported within 24 hours. Valid claims may be resolved through replacement, partial refund, or full refund at our discretion.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the goods purchased. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of business or profit. We are also not responsible for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, civil disturbances, labour shortages, regulatory changes, or transport disruptions.
Cancellations and Returns
Orders for stock items may be cancelled prior to dispatch. Once shipped, returns are accepted within 24 hours if items are unused, unassembled, and in original packaging. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Custom-made or non-stock items cannot be cancelled once ordered. Deposits for such goods are non-refundable.
Miscellaneous
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Great Albion Furniture and replace all previous communications. Any amendments must be confirmed in writing by an authorised representative of Great Albion Furniture. Electronic communications are considered received once they reach your system.
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations without our written consent. We may transfer our obligations to a third party. If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt resolution through alternative dispute resolution facilitated by CEDR. If no agreement is reached within 28 days, either party may pursue legal action. These Terms and any related agreements are governed by English law and are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
